The school was addressed to PhD students, post-docs and junior researchers interested in the physics of spin in materials.
List of participants
The possibility offered by modern techniques to isolate and control electrons with well-defined spin has attracted the attention of many researchers.
Together with recent discoveries of novel magnetic phases in nanostructured materials and molecules, these research efforts are highlighting novel quantum
phenomena and opening novel routes for applications in optoelectronics and quantum computation.
The purpose of the school is to summarize some of the developments in the field with special emphasis on single spin behavior and collective magnetic phases,
with a balanced presentation of the most significant theoretical and experimental achievements.
Location
The school was held at the Hotel Monte Rosa , Chiavari (GENOVA).
